Job Title: Planning Manager
Location: Al Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Manager to join our real estate development team in Al Riyadh. The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure the successful execution of our real estate projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, urban planning, and land development, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines in collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and consultants.
- Define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and milestones to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules and milestones, identifying and addressing deviations and risks as needed.
- Conduct regular project planning meetings and reviews to ensure alignment and communication across all project stakeholders.
- Land Development and Zoning:
- Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and zoning variances for development projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluations, and land assessments to determine project viability and potential constraints.
- Develop land use plans, site plans, and master plans for real estate development projects, ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and land use policies.
- Resource Allocation and Coordination:
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and overcome obstacles to project success.
- Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks, challenges, and obstacles to project success, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate project viability and identify potential areas of concern.
- Implement proactive measures to minimize project risks and maximize opportunities for success.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, clients, government officials, and community members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely and effective communication and resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of [10] years of experience in project planning, land development, or real estate development, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of project planning principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
