Job Title: Master Planner Architect
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Overview:
As a Master Planner Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing comprehensive plans for urban development projects, infrastructure initiatives, and architectural endeavours. Your primary objective will be to create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments that meet the needs of communities and stakeholders. This role requires a blend of architectural expertise, urban planning knowledge, and project management skills to ensure successful execution of projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of master plans for urban areas, residential communities, commercial districts, and mixed-use developments.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments to inform the planning process and identify constraints and opportunities.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to define project goals, requirements, and design objectives.
- Integrate principles of urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, and sustainable development to create cohesive and innovative master plans.
- Develop architectural drawings, renderings, and visualizations to communicate design concepts and proposals effectively.
- Coordinate with engineers, planners, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of master plans and architectural designs.
- Conduct community engagement sessions, public hearings, and stakeholder workshops to gather feedback and incorporate community input into the planning process.
- Evaluate and assess the economic, social, and environmental impacts of proposed developments and recommend strategies to mitigate risks and enhance sustainability.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in urban planning, architecture, and sustainable design to inform design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, or a related field. Professional licensure or certification preferred.
- Proven experience in urban design, master planning, and architectural design, preferably with a focus on large-scale development projects.
- UAE projects experience is required and in RAK will be a major plus
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong conceptualization and design skills, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling and functional built environments.
- Knowledge of zoning regulations, building codes, land use planning principles, and sustainable design practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with external consultants and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.
