Job Title: General Practitioner (GP) Doctor
Location: Dubai
Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) Doctor to join our medical center. The GP Doctor will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and promoting preventive care and wellness. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Consultation and Examination:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations of patients to assess their health status and identify any medical issues or concerns.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs), to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, including infections, injuries, chronic diseases, and mental health disorders.
- Treatment Planning and Management:
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs and preferences of patients, considering factors such as age, medical history, lifestyle, and cultural background.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments as appropriate, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment regimens as needed.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care management.
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention:
- Promote preventive care and wellness by advising patients on healthy lifestyle choices, including diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management.
- Administer vaccinations and immunizations to protect patients against communicable diseases and seasonal illnesses.
- Screen patients for risk factors and early signs of chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, and provide appropriate interventions and referrals.
- Collaboration and Referrals:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
- Refer patients to specialists and healthcare facilities for further evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of complex medical conditions or specialized care needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and optimal health outcomes.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnostic test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality laws and policies.
- Use electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software to record and manage patient information efficiently and securely.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or MBBS) from an accredited medical school.
- Valid medical license and board certification in General Practice or Family Medicine.
- Minimum of [7] years of experience practicing as a General Practitioner in a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care principles, diagnostic techniques, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients and colleagues.
