Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our reputable real estate company in Jeddah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of mechanical installations in our construction projects. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and functionality of mechanical systems within our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mechanical Inspection:
    • Conduct comprehensive inspections of mechanical systems and equipment at various stages of construction projects, including installation, pre-commissioning, and final acceptance.
    • Verify that mechanical installations adhere to approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
    • Identify and report any deviations, defects, or deficiencies in mechanical workmanship or materials.
    • Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers to address issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  2. Compliance and Regulation:
    • Stay abreast of relevant mechanical codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA) to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
    • Interpret and apply mechanical codes and standards in the inspection and evaluation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to contractors and project teams on compliance with mechanical codes and best practices.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor the quality of mechanical installations to ensure they meet established standards and specifications.
    • Conduct inspections to verify proper installation, alignment, and functioning of mechanical equipment, components, and systems.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement in mechanical design, installation methods, and materials.
  4. Safety and Risk Management:
    • Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures related to mechanical work.
    • Identify potential mechanical hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
    • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance awareness of mechanical safety practices.
    • Investigate and report any mechanical incidents or accidents that occur on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Certification as a Mechanical Inspector or relevant credentials preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
  • Profound knowledge of mechanical codes, regulations, and standards.
