Job Title: PMO Director (Project Management Office Director)
Location: Al Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced PMO Director to lead our Project Management Office in Al Riyadh. The PMO Director will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all real estate development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, standards, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, project management expertise, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- PMO Leadership and Governance:
- Establish and maintain the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, policies, procedures, and methodologies to support effective project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and support staff within the PMO, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and communicate project management standards, best practices, and guidelines to project teams across the organization.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure the successful implementation of project management processes and methodologies.
- Project Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the management of the company’s project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio optimization.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio management framework to assess project viability, alignment with strategic objectives, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and risk across the portfolio, providing regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance project delivery capabilities.
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans in alignment with project objectives and organizational priorities.
- Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and project baselines, identifying and addressing deviations and risks in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance, support, and escalation assistance to project managers to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Conduct project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, clients, vendors, and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely and effective communication and resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and success criteria, ensuring alignment and buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
- PMO Performance and Governance:
- Establish and monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the PMO and project delivery processes.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of project management practices, tools, and methodologies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Minimum of [10] years of experience in project management, with a focus on leading project management offices or project management teams.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in real estate development or construction industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
